Universal Studios, Singapore

I went to Singapore again late last May with my 2 closest friends from University, Nad and Zety. They haven’t been to Singapore before, so it was a pleasure to show them around plus Universal Studio was open..big bonus for this trip!

Our flight was early morning so instead of troubling my parents to send me to LCCT, Sepang..we took the shorter and cheapest way to go there..by taking Air Asia buses at KL Central which was available all around the clock..awesome! and it cost only rm9 ;)

Singapore was awesome, the MRT are very convenient as you can go just about any location and there were huge sales at ION, Orchard but most chic & hot items are all gone! So it was a bit frustrating plus all the shoes i wanted to buy at Bugis Street didn’t fit me and fyi it was size 40/10!! Crazy! I’m a size 11 now..pffftt. So the exciting part was Universal Studios! *a must go location in Singapore*

We were extremely excited as we saw the huge globe stating Universal Studios! The entry cost is around $66 plus you’ll get a $10 voucher on meals and $5 on retails. As we enter, it was the Hollywood streets! It was mostly shops and restaurant but there were one show at Pantages called Monster Rock! It was a musical mini show about all monsters such as Frankenstein, Vampire, Phantom of the Opera, Bridesmaid, Shewolf, Wolverine, Mummy who was into dancing and rocking the stage! It was hilarious and the best show ever! They even did a cover of Nobody by Wondergirls..lol.

Hollywood Street

zety, me and nad

we bummed into some crazy hat stall..hehe time to go wacko! ;p

Then head to New York Street, where we went into a Steven Spielberg show..no no he wasn’t there! It was a show on how movie making was really made..so we went into a studio where they portray an actual live feed when NY was hid with an extreme thunder storm..it was so cool! thunder storm, roof got blown away, boat cam crossing to us in fire..I literally got scared..haha!

New York Street

a remake of Marlyn Monroe..haha ;p

Sci-fi City was totally blah, because it was not open yet which included two huge rollercoasters that i was so anticipating to ride..dangg! a 3rd trip again perhaps later this year..haha!

Then towards, the Mummy! The Mummy was one of the scariest movie i have ever watch (i was young..be nice) guest the ride portrayed my scary-ness! Haha it was one hell of a ride! It was an indoor rollercoaster, so you can’t anticipate what’s coming..we were going backwards (yes backwards) , and forward (very forward)..my heart was skipping so fast! Arghhh total adrenaline rush!

if you dare to enter!

Jurassic Park was soaking wet! Haha thanks to the rapid adventure ride..it was a jurassic water ride! So i was wearing my new flats that i just bought, while lining up..i got worried! I didn’t want it to get wet even asked if i can take my shoes off and put it aside..haha a big no no! so as we were seated i took my flats off and hid in my pants! Hahaha it works..so haha back! ;p

Rapid Adventure Ride

Canopy Flyer! this was fun!

Then, to Water World! Its an amazing show on how man was struggling to get land with flying jet skies and fyi this show can get you wet too! Lol .. Now to Far Far Away land, hehe Shrek time!

Water World!

Madagascar was filled more with restaurants than rides..so we just took photos plus the rides was for kids..hehe!

with Charlie Chaplin :)

So I beg for those who wants to go to Singapore, please go to Universal Studios..if not you’ll miss the time of your life! ;)
